Tropicana Kamping

We have been coming here since 2018 every 2 or so years. We have only been in high season. We paid €15 per night when we first came, and last time (2 years ago) we paid €25 per night. It is now €35 per night!

We love the place, hence why we always come back. But it’s quite a disgrace now that they are charging Italian/Croatian prices.

We specifically drive over 1500kms one way to get away from the tourist traps and high prices of Italy and Croatia and then get hit with a massive price increase.

I understand prices rise and all that, but the hot water is heated by the sun, there’s a small toilet block with showers and 220v electric connections scattered around the area.

That’s what makes it so attractive to us because it feels like “real camping”. But for a place with minimal overheads and no staff apart from the owners at the front living in a stationary caravan, €35 euro a night is a kick in the teeth.

We will always want to come back here because it’s a special place, but the prices and the owners are making it hard to justify the massive journey.

Tiptoper Campingplatz zum Entspannen. Heilsamer Sand! Saubere Anlage, freundliche Betreiber. Hat auch viele Schattenplätze. Stadt per Fahrrad gut zu erreichen. Haben für 2 Personen inkl Strom 20 Euro bezahlt. (Saisonbeginn!)

Der Platz ist direkt am Meer gelegen. Man steht schattig in Strandnähe. Die Duschen und Toiletten sind gepflegt, es gibt auch Strom und WIFI inklusive. Der Preis ist top 👍
