Høvringen Camping und Hotel

We stayed at Høvringen Camping on July 25, 2026, and unfortunately we were disappointed. At 500 NOK per night, the campsite is quite expensive but offers limited value for money. During our trip through Norway, we stayed at much better-equipped campsites for significantly lower prices.
The sanitary facilities were outdated and partly broken. The men's shower only had cold water, while the women's shower had a broken shower head holder. In the sanitary containers, several shower and toilet cabins were also out of order, leaving only a few working facilities. We also noticed damaged equipment, such as a broken toilet seat.
The kitchen facilities were equally disappointing. One room marked as a kitchen only contained a sink. The other had an old stove, but no cooking utensils or equipment at all. It was also located on the highest terrace, making it inconvenient for many campers staying on the lower levels.
We also found the sauna pricing misleading. The 150 NOK advertised on the website is per person, per hour, rather than for private use of the sauna.
The location itself is beautiful, with stunning views and excellent hiking opportunities in Rondane National Park. However, the campsite felt outdated, poorly maintained, and not particularly welcoming. For the price charged, the value for money is simply not there. Unfortunately, we would not recommend staying here.

Wir waren im April dort. Es ist ein toller Platz mit einem tollen Blick. Es gibt sehr gute Möglichkeiten zu wandern, bzw. Langlaufski zu machen.
Der Stellplatz ist in Terrassen angelegt. Die sanitâren Anlagen waren im Keller des benachbarten Hotels zu finden. Sie waren sauber, jedoch sehr begrenzt.
In der Hauptsaison gibt es zusätzlich Container.
