Die Lage hier am Downpatrick Head ist einmalig.
Nach einigen Kilometern einspuriger Straße gelangt man direkt an die Steinküste des Atlantiks.
Zu Fuß sind es dann noch über ein "Polster" aus saftig grünem Gras auf einer weichen Torf-Unterlage ein paar Hundert Meter bis an die Kante der ca. 100 Meter hohen Klippen.
Wenn man dann noch die historischen Geschichten an den Hinweistafeln liest, wird aus dem geplanten kurzen Besuch ein Highlight des Tages.
