SF-Caravan Hietasaari

Hietasaari offers great opportunities, especially for families with children, for a peaceful and nature-friendly holiday. The sandy beaches of Hietasaari have been called the Riviera of Central Finland, and for good reason. The shallow beaches create a great opportunity for children to play on the beach. The jogging trails around the area, which go around several ponds, provide an opportunity to enjoy the peace of nature. Dog lovers also have the opportunity to go on long walks with their pets. There is a separate swimming area for dogs at the left end of the longer sandy beach, on the boat shore. In the autumn and summer, berry pickers can find both blueberry and lingonberry patches in the area. NOTE! Tourists arriving in the area. When coming from Jyväskylä on road no. 630, the navigator may advise you to arrive in Hietasaari via Höytiä. At the intersection there is a white sign that says Hietasaari and arrows forward. The road is a dirt road when coming from Höytiä. If you want to avoid the dirt road, do not turn towards Höytiä but continue straight towards Uurainen and turn from Uurainen towards Multia, where you will see signs to Hietasaari. This is only 2 kilometers of dirt road.
